I make chip music under the name Futurnari.

Chip music is music made on or for vintage game consoles. Many of which are 8bit.

Futurnari is a word that isn't actually a word which means; "a futuristic hermaphrodite"

I've released three since I was introduced to chip music and here they are. My last e.p "DNA Computing" was written for the ym2612 soundchip in the Sega Megadrive. I am hoping to do an album version of this in the future but it will require a lot of work.

Recently I've been trying to make the software required to write Megadrive music run on my Mac (Yep) and it's been a fun nightmare. I get to use command line though which makes me feel like a pro.
Just look!

I think I actually have it mainly working apart from the gui of TFMaker being a bit fucked. The hex editor runs like a dream and the .bin converter took a while but I got that working too thanks to the writer Michael Stampler.

  1. Awesome you got everything working. Good luck!

  2. I bet it would of been 10x easier if you weren't using a mac :P
